JEE Coaching Fees in Gurgaon (2026): What You Actually Pay

JEE Coaching Fees in Gurgaon (2026): What You Actually Pay

JEE coaching fees in Gurgaon in 2026 run from about ₹45,000 a year for a classroom programme to ₹4.70 lakh for a two-year course at a large brand. Those are directory figures, checked 26 October 2026, not quotes. The gap tracks seats per teacher, contact hours and what is bundled. Ask each institute for a written fee sheet before you compare.

Sources: Letsdiskuss's Gurgaon fee guide, updated 4 October 2026, and Collegedunia's Aakash Institute Gurgaon page, checked 26 October 2026.

Two of those sources describe Aakash differently, and only one adds up. Letsdiskuss gives ₹1.90 lakh to ₹3.41 lakh a year. Collegedunia lists ₹4.70 lakh for two years, ₹2.40 lakh for one, ₹1.95 lakh for the dropper course, and repeats the same three figures in its FAQ table. That set is internally consistent: ₹4.70 lakh across two years is ₹2.35 lakh a year, inside the Letsdiskuss band. Treat both as market shape, not quotes.

Key takeaways

  • The published spread runs from about ₹45,000 a year to ₹4.70 lakh for a two-year classroom course.
  • Most of that difference is seats per teacher and contact hours, not teaching quality.
  • The quote usually leaves out registration, material, the test series, GST and the commute.
  • Batch size is checkable in one visit: count students at the twenty-minute mark.

Why does one institute quote ₹45,000 a year and another ₹2.40 lakh a year for the same exam?

Both prepare students for JEE Main and Advanced. Neither number is dishonest, and three things move the price.

Seats per teacher. A hall of fifty and a room of ten cost about the same per hour. Collegedunia lists Aakash's JEE batches at 50 to 55 students. Cap a batch at ten and the same teaching hour costs more per head.

Contact hours. Few institutes publish this, and it decides whether two quotes compare at all. Take two invented courses: A at ₹45,000 with 300 contact hours, B at ₹2,40,000 with 600. That is ₹150 an hour against ₹400. The inputs are deliberately made up, because almost nobody publishes real ones. The method isn't. Ask both institutes for total teaching hours, tests included, and divide. If the answer is vague, that is your answer.

Who teaches, and for how long. A brand fee funds recruitment, content teams and a building. A smaller fee funds one teacher's time. Ask for a name and a commitment; a change of teacher in Class 12 is expensive to absorb.

What isn't in the quoted fee?

This is where the published number stops matching the money leaving your account. Ask for each item in writing.

Registration and admission fee. On Collegedunia, Aakash's registration fee is listed as never refundable, and a centre transfer costs ₹1,000.

Printed material. ₹17,400 for a JEE study-material package in that listing. Ask whether the classroom fee already includes it, and whether the books are yours to keep.

The test series. An all-India test is the closest thing to a national benchmark, and several institutes sell it separately. Aakash's JEE Main and Advanced test series run from ₹6,000 for a plain AITS to ₹19,014 for a ranker package with video solutions.

GST and the invoice. Ask whether the quoted number includes GST and whether the invoice arrives in the institute's name. If an employer reimburses tuition, the format decides whether you see that money.

Transport. Sector 95 or Manesar Sector 3 to Sector 14 is a round trip through NH-48 traffic, twice a day, for two years. Some of it comes out of study time.

Board exam support. A JEE-only course leaves Class 11 and 12 boards to school. If boards slip, many families add CBSE tuition in the same year.

The second year. The largest line item is not on the invoice. A dropper course at Aakash is listed at ₹1.95 lakh for one year. If the first attempt lands nowhere near the target, that is the real cost of choosing badly.

Two years at the top is ₹4.70 lakh before material and the commute.

What counts as a small batch, and how do you prove it in one demo class?

The word "small" appears on every Gurgaon ranking page we checked. Letsdiskuss puts city batches at 15 to 120 and calls one institute's 10 to 15 "genuinely rare". A word covering fifteen and a hundred and twenty carries no information.

The number that matters is doubt minutes per student per week. Thirty students who need eight minutes each need four hours a week beyond class. Ask where those hours sit on the timetable.

Then check in one visit, without announcing it.

  1. Count students at the twenty-minute mark, not at minute one.
  2. Ask the teacher, in front of the batch, how many are present today and how many are enrolled.
  3. Ask the student at the back how long they have been here, and what they scored last test.
  4. Ask for a returned paper with the name blacked out. Look for written remarks, not ticks.
  5. Ask who notices if your child misses three classes in a row.

What should the fee actually buy?

The same teacher, for two years. Continuity beats a famous name who appears at orientation. Ask who takes Physics in Class 12, and what happens if they leave. How to choose a JEE programme covers the rest.

Doubt time on the timetable. "Anytime" means after class, if the teacher is free. A weekly slot on the schedule is a commitment.

Test review, not just tests. A rank without a marked script teaches nothing. You are buying the hour where someone shows your child the three questions that cost twenty marks.

Parent reporting with a format. Ask how often, in what form, who writes it. Two lines beat a monthly scorecard.

What this looks like at Good Marks Classes

  • Offline batches are capped at 30 students; live online batches at 10. Both numbers are published.
  • Two routes. The 2-Year Integrated Regular Programme runs 900 hours including tests, six classes a week. The school-integrated Spark batch runs five days a week, 1,500 hours, with English and a personality development programme built into the timetable.
  • Thursday is the weekly doubt day, and one-to-one doubt sessions run online or at the Sector 85 centre.
  • Fees vary by programme and mode, so they are quoted after a conversation rather than posted. Ask for the same written breakdown you would ask any institute.

What should you ask before you pay?

Eight questions, each with the answer that should worry you.

  1. How many students are in this batch today? Worry if it is "around 30 to 40, we cap at 30". A cap that isn't the count is marketing.
  2. How many total teaching hours, including test discussion? Worry if there is no number. Without hours, two quotes cannot be compared.
  3. Who teaches Physics in Class 12, and will they still be here next year? Worry if you get "senior faculty" and "depends on the batch".
  4. When was the last test, and when were the papers returned? Worry if you see a score but no marked script. A test nobody marks measures the batch, not your child.
  5. How many doubt minutes per student per week, and is it scheduled? Worry if the answer is "anytime".
  6. What exactly is excluded from this fee? Worry if "nothing, all inclusive" arrives without a written list.
  7. What is the refund policy, week by week? Worry if you hear "no refunds" or "case by case".
  8. How many of last year's batch are repeating with you? Worry about "we don't track that" more than the number itself.

One more settles it: ask for two parents' numbers.

When is a smaller programme the better financial decision?

Price is not cost. Four cases where the cheaper fee wins.

One weak subject, not a weak syllabus. Paying ₹2.40 lakh to re-run two years because rotational motion never clicked is an expensive fix. Two focused hours a week can do more.

A dropper with a diagnosed gap. Dropper courses are cheaper: ₹1.95 lakh against ₹4.70 lakh in the Aakash listings. Check the hours, because the same syllabus is compressed into fewer months.

A long commute. From Sectors 88 to 99 or Manesar 1 to 5, a daily trip to Sector 14 is paid in study time, not just fuel.

A possible change of stream. Ask what happens if your child moves from JEE to NEET in the first term. The programmes and material differ, and the refund clock may not restart. Better to know in June than December.

A small batch can also mean nobody joined, or one teacher covers all three subjects. Ask how many subjects each faculty member handles.

How should you read a scholarship or early-enrolment discount?

The sticker and the paid price differ. Aakash's ANTHE offers up to 100% off tuition on the offline exam, up to 80% online; its iACST offers up to 90%. Letsdiskuss notes that enrolling before April or May takes another 5 to 20% off.

Three checks first. Does the waiver cover tuition only, since registration, material and test series usually sit outside it? Is it conditional on a marks threshold? Does it stack with the early-enrolment discount?

Then do the arithmetic. Thirty per cent off ₹3.41 lakh is about ₹2.39 lakh, still more than five times the ₹45,000 option. A discount says nothing about what the extra buys. And a discount expiring tomorrow is a sales device; published fees do not move 20% overnight.

Frequently asked questions

1. What is the total cost of JEE coaching for two years in Gurgaon?

About ₹90,000 at the cheapest published end, working from ₹45,000 a year, or ₹4.70 lakh for Aakash's listed two-year classroom course. Material and test series may sit outside either figure; Aakash's JEE material is listed separately at ₹17,400. Ask for a total that includes everything.

2. Are JEE coaching fees refundable in Gurgaon?

Partly, and it depends on the week you ask. Collegedunia's listing of Aakash's terms shows full tuition back before classes or within one week, 90% at two weeks, 80% at three and 75% at four. Registration fees and test-series fees are listed as non-refundable.

3. Is online JEE coaching cheaper than offline in Gurgaon?

Usually, though the gap is smaller than the sticker suggests. Letsdiskuss lists Allen's Gurgaon JEE fees at ₹1.68 lakh to ₹2.05 lakh offline against ₹75,600 to ₹1.37 lakh online. Check whether doubt sessions, test review and printed material are included or billed separately before you count the saving.

4. Is a cheaper coaching institute worse for JEE preparation?

Not automatically. Price tracks seats per teacher, contact hours and add-ons. A ₹45,000 course with 300 well-taught hours can beat a ₹2.40 lakh course where your child is one of fifty and never asks a question. Ask for hours and headcount before you compare price.

5. How many students are in a Good Marks JEE batch?

Offline batches are capped at 30 and live online batches at 10. A cap is not a headcount, though. Ask for the current number of students in the batch your child would actually join, then count them yourself during the demo week.

6. Is coaching alone enough to clear JEE?

No. Coaching supplies sequence, correction and a national benchmark. The score comes from hours a student puts in alone, on problems nobody assigned. An institute promising a rank is selling something outside its control, and that promise is itself a pricing signal.

Where should you start without paying anything?

Book one demo at the institute you are most likely to choose, and take the five checks with you. If the answers are straight, the fee conversation will be short.
